The Bar-Ilan campus offers a wide variety of useful services and retail outlets including a bookstore, a dedicated student travel agency, a grocery store, a bank, and a post office. There is dedicated wireless internet access throughout the campus.
The assortment of on-campus eateries includes both dairy cafes (everything from pizza to pasta to sandwiches to coffeehouses) to inexpensive meat (burger, hotdog, kabob, schwarma) restaurants to vegetarian/fish restaurants. There are also takeout places offering cooked food for Shabbat.
Bar-Ilan campus programming offers regular day tours and weekend trips to locations throughout the country; whether your interest is museum-hopping or hang-gliding, there are activities galore for your free time. Jewish Shabbat and holidays are celebrated on campus for those interested. There are also movie nights, coffeehouse evenings, and social events throughout the year.
The dedicated Bar-Ilan Postbac Premed student coordinator will help you find housing in one of the many apartments within easy walking distance of the Bar-Ilan campus; she'll assist you in your housing search, help you find a suitable apartment, and answer any questions you may have about your relocation. She'll also put you in touch with your fellow students, to make it easier for you to find a roommate if desired.
After you're admitted, you'll be invited to join our online Facebook forum to get to know your fellow students even before the program begins.
You'll start your year at Bar-Ilan with a several-day orientation program which will include details on everything from finding your way around campus and around Tel Aviv, to tips on making the most of your year
Should you request, you'll have an opportunity to meet and have dinner with your Israeli host family.
There will also be numerous social events to acquaint you with the other program participants, as well as Israeli students.
